Only a few VP shots were planned for No Way Up which consists of the character swimming out of the crashed plane underwater as the plane slides down a cliff. I was brought onto the show close to the shoot to do a new texture pass on the plane. I mainly added more damage to the fuselage by adding dents, scratches, and exposed layers of fiberglass under torn aluminum. By this point, the plane had already been skinned and animated so I couldn't modify the mesh and all the new damage had to be implemented through textures alone. I also modeled and textured a new exhaust mesh that was attached to the tail of the plane.
